Looks like Sony is getting smart on the price cut bandwagon, with the latest headline being anti-climactic and instead, expected. Any good business owner is well aware that lower prices bring volume, and when a unit probably costs around $50 to $75 to manufacture, it's a no brainer that 'something.99' is always better than 'no-.99'. We know it's an industry standard to use 'samples' for creating tracks, and often times many famous samples are used under license to create new music.
