With the Call of Juarez The Cartel walkthrough here at GameGuidedog getting you through all the tough spots and making sure you don’t miss anything important, we’d like to let you know what you can expect from the newest Call of Juarez edition.
Seeing as Call of Juarez: The Cartel is one of the bigger titles releasing this week, it’s surprising that sites like IGN claim the game is “An Epic and Bloody Road Trip!”, sounds pretty good so far right? The game takes place during an FBI investigation along with the Los Angeles Police Department about a devastating bomb attack in the United States originating from a Mexican drug cartel.
Storyline bonus marks aside, the co-op gameplay mechanics are not interactive or interesting enough to engage the features if and when they need to be utilized. Then with the straight forward gunplay itself, the AI elements are on the lower end, completely dulled down making it both unchallenging and even boring for the most part and overall makes the title seem very 2004 in our opinion.
Even the level design itself just honestly isn’t something we haven’t seen before (and mostly on an original XBox console) so again, the graphics engine is a rehash of older technology as well. Driving on rails with objectives to disable feels more like micromanagement than playing a video game, and ultimately is pretty hard to look at while doing so.
Overall GameGuideDog gives this title a fairly rated 2.7 out of 5.
