The sources for the information within this article reside within the campus in Bellevue, WA at Microsoft, where I used to work.  My colleagues departed the information to me that the 720 is and has been ready for awhile.  Of course tweaks and improvements are always the norm up till launch day, but nonetheless, we felt it a newsworthy topic for GameGuideDog.   Pending official press release, this is the best form of ‘rumour’ you can get!  According to N4G moderators, this entry is an article not a “rumor”.  Then again, moderators state this is a rumor not an article.  Seeing as we have better things to do than to nitpic which kind of story this is, we feel it’s a topic our readers would be interested in, and are happy to report it.

The majority of us simply cannot handle our lives without having our video game consoles. The video gaming industry always surprises us with the new innovative advancements to their toys that make us all feel young again. Given that we’ve all come to love the present day home game consoles like Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PS3 and Nintendo Wii, does it really end with these? Of course not! With 3D televisions pushing their way into most homes, and the innovative improvements proven with the Nintendo 3DS being released (you don’t even need glasses to play in 3D), we have a strong feeling that the next systems will all include full 3D capabilities, and you can believe the cost of those titles will be increased yet again,  if not just for the 3D enabled feature alone.

The main plan for Microsoft is to sell as many Xbox 360 units it can and wait for the right opportunity to launch Xbox 720 with a bang.

Xbox 720 Specifications:

Right now Xbox 360 really is a highly favored system with 39 million sold by last year at this time, we expect the same will happen with Xbox 720. Reviews state that it’s planning to see the light in 2012 (possibly even 2013, but our gut insticts tells us this might be moved forward due to the recent PS4 controversy) but regardless of the actual date they have completed the overall confirmations regarding the arrangements of hardware updates and requirements in the specs to be included within said new Xbox.
Xbox 720 will come as a generally user friendly system like its forerunner and will also include the same gaming system which is actually visual basic ie .net. That said, it’s safe to say it will also be backward compatible, but this has not yet been confirmed. Rumors additionally point out that Intel has developed a deal with Microsoft to supply the console with CPUS and graphic cards.

The processor might potentially be quad core or even triple core, which in turn would likely be escorted with 16 MB RAM and a principal memory space of 4 GB supplied for high speed. Because the video game system is packaged ready willing and able it is also assumed that each and every household will have a cable high speed Internet connection. Therefore Ethernet online connectivity will certainly be one of the functions with wireless USB hardware as well.  One of the best features in the Xbox 720 rumors collection is the benefit of Blu-Ray (since they lost the gamble opting to include the HD DVD functionality on the 360, and as we all know, HD DVD lost that battle). This inclusion alone does help leap the storage spec capacity of the a game developers freedom from 250 GB to 750 GB. Basically why PS3 games include more content at the present.
