We know we’ve covered the inside details with the Wii-U controller and console improvements, and we’ve posted that video below again, but the most recent development the development of titles, how they are already rolling that out to have a nice array of choices at Wii U launch.
The Wii U will have a flexible online service, according to president and chief operating officer of Nintendo of America Reggie Fils-Aime. Speaking to Forbes, he said that the company is “creating a much more flexible system that will allow the best approaches by independent publishers to come to bear”.
When talking about how Nintendo’s online services have traditionally been missing things you get on rivals like Xbox LIVE, Fils-Aime said:
“I don’t think it is an issue for us, and here’s why. We’ve seen what our competitors have done, and we’ve acknowledged that we need to do more online, starting with the launch of our eShop on Nintendo 3DS, and we’re going to continue to build our online capability.”
“For Wii U, we’re going to take that one step further, and what we’re doing is creating a much more flexible system that will allow the best approaches by independent publishers to come to bear,” he added.
