A few days ago Microsoft confirmed the deployment of the new system update for the Xbox 360 is firmly scheduled for December 6th, 2011. The upgrade is primarily geared towards strengthening the system shell (how it looks), as well as the Xbox 360 Kinect interactions.
We anticipate the included innovation for the update will finally have the Kinect features integrated with Xbox Live for a Tailgate Party discussion style arena app space that they showed off to us earlier this year at E3. To those MMO gamers that will get this definition, it’s a variety of emotes and chat bubbles, that is if I am remembering correctly.
Microsoft’s new Xbox 360 dashboard will use the shell already demonstrated with the Metro interface of Windows 8.
It is reported that the present known new Xbox 360 system will bring a more comprehensive family entertainment facility, more depth in the Kinect motion sensor interaction, such as Facebook and other social media sharing mechanism, Live TV and support the music and movie streaming broadcast content and so on.
Could this be the beginning of a merge from gaming consoles and pc becoming cross gaming compatible on the multiplayer front? We already know this to be a true intention as it was stated earlier this year at E3 as well, and the day of computer/gaming console becoming one and the same thing is just on the horizon. Fingers are crossed for Diablo 3 to release at time that it’s possible to shoot it over onto the XBox 360. Talk about a game changer that would be right?
