Dungeon Siege 3 Walkthrough and Review (PC, PS3, XBox 360)

Dungeon Siege III is one of the more prominently anticipated titles this year from Square Enix, not just due to the multitude of expense spent on promotional advertisements, but the game itself has also been given a rather decent upgrade in several areas. Some have reported a few glitches here and there on the PS3 as apposed to Xbox 360 (specifically with a sound issue), nothing major though, overall an extremely polished game. Sticklers love to bash good games, that’s not what we are about at all. A good production deserves merit even if the gaming masses forget such a decent title a few months later.

Gameplay itself has been clocked at a lower end 14 hours if playing insanely and avoiding any real enjoyment of the game. If you enjoy Diablo style gaming with a 3D aspect to it, you’ll love this game entirely. There are several quests and objects to discover. The coolest of weapons and items is always just around the corner with enough exploration making the game addictive for treasure seekers. The leveling tree is varied enough to keep you in control of your choices for builds, but not ridiculous enough to feel you’ve perhaps made a grave error in judgment when adding stats. Albeit the graphics appear to be similar to previous releases, it does appear extra attention went into the details of the ambience experienced in the world you reside.

As for the sound, it’s extremely well done, and nothing should or can be complained about in this regard, if anything it’s one of the better reasons to pick up the game and play it. Additionally the slaughter of the beasts makes slaying extremely enjoyable, you’ll have to see it to believe it. Overall, GameGuideDog grants this title a decent 4.4 out of 5.
